Our First Bounty from Skeeter Farm
Do you recognize the beauty squashes in the picture below? You might, because nine months ago I posted about my first visit out to Skeeter Farm. We harvested these colourful beauties on one cool October morning/afternoon for Skeeter Farm's CSA customers. If you missed my post about it, Chris and I decided that we wanted in on the action at Skeeter Farm and signed up to be a member of their CSA (Community Shared/Supported Agriculture) program (see my Skooting Around Skeeter Farm post for more information or just google CSA). Basically we bought a share of the produce at Skeeter Farm and with that comes the ups and downs of owning a weather/soil/season/critter dependent business. We are in it with our farmers all the way! Today Chris and I picked up our first bounty from Skeeter Farm!
